The aides were friendly and talked to me like a human being, the other staff worked very hard to hook up the low income patients with needed resources. The only rude and snobby person was my psychiatrist, all the other staff were wonderful. A positive experience. I would recommend nyp if you are experiencing a mental health crisis.

Dr. Pickett is the best psychiatrist I have ever been to. She really listens, asks the right questions and relates to patients really well.

This was actually better place than some of the SnakePit i been in. The eating disorder ward is safest or the rich people ward (where you can bring laptop etc). My friend was in the rehab and said was good. So as long as you don't mind waking up crack of dawn to take a freezing shower. Staff was mostly all kind the therapy aids were. The drs just want to pill you & i had a dr i caught him zoning out at the tv an he seemed zonked and gave some excuse since i called his name to ask if he was ok. Remember folks, if you are admitted do not act aggressive & hostile or they will put you in rubber room call code red on you. I have seen done too much when therapy aid and i had these situations under controll, de-escalating yet the nurse code red anyway. So when some come in scared, they lash out anger like cornered. Please remain calm if you can, it will be smoother ride. We had a good time there actually. We got banned from returning..3 of us.

My wife has been there for the past two weeks and she’s no better. They gave her Zoloft for paranoid-schizophrenia. In my opinion a complete misdiagnosis. Ruth Stothers deserves better.

A team of truly caring providers with top notch cradentials. The environment is healing and restoring space. US News & World Reports placed them at 1 in thier specialty for many years and more recently number 3 with good reason. New York Presbyterian is the go place for challenging/difficult to treat and complex health conditions. I would like to personally thank Dr. Daisy Klingman for what I consider uparrell care, skill, and experteace. She is an invaluable asset to her patients, students, and fellow providers. Thank NYPH.

Best experience I ever had. I was treated here and everyone was very kind and compassionate. I wish they had more outdoor activities or a courtyard of some sort to get some fresh air but that could be said of every hospital.
